The Tanzania Electricity Company (TANESCO) continues with the implementation of the electricity supply project on the island of Chole in Mafia Region, Coast.
This project involves the transmission of electricity through the sea using a ‘Marine Cable’ with a length of more than one and a half kilometers.
Access to reliable electricity was a dream for many days for the residents of the island of Chole and the implementation of this project is going to completely change the long history of the island that never had electricity service.
These efforts are of the government under the firm leadership of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan and the Ministry of Energy managed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko ensures that all Tanzanians have reliable and sufficient electricity service to stimulate various economic activities.
