The Regional Commissioner of Dar es Salaam, Albert Chalamila, has urged the cement and moth businessmen of the Dar es Salaam region to be good friends of the Government, to pay taxes without coercion and to be good ambassadors without forgetting to contribute to the development of the region including the construction of female hostels to eliminate the challenge facing those students.
Chalamila said this after meeting yesterday with those who own cement factories and Moth in his office and advised them to build hostels for girls because they are experiencing serious problems due to the distance between their homes and schools so their success rate is falling day by day.
The businessmen he has met are from the companies that own MMI, LAKE, CAMEL, TWIGA and Kiboko factories and he has promised to visit those factories to find out the challenges they face and to encourage them in their investment.
The Administrative Secretary of the Region, Dr. Toba Nguvila has asked the businessmen to contribute to the development of the region, especially the construction of hostels, because the students of the region have been experiencing problems with transportation, pregnancies, which lead to lower levels of success in their studies.
Chalamila told the owners that he has called them with the aim of getting to know each other and they have the opportunity to get to know the leaders of the region so that when they encounter a challenge, they know the right place to convey and resolve it for the wider interests of the region and the Nation as a whole.
He said President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan appreciates investment in the country, that’s why he has always been improving the environment for investors where he has been able to create a special investment ministry and all these plans are in an effort to strengthen investment and attract investors.
“We who are under him in our areas, our biggest responsibility is to ensure that we create a good and friendly environment for investors to go in line with the vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu.
