President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to preside over the funeral of retired Prime Minister Edward Lowassa which is expected to be held in Monduli District in Arusha Region on Saturday February 17, 2024.
Lowassa died when President Samia started his visit to the Vatican where he met Pope Francis and then later went to Norway where he is now where after the visit he will return to the country to attend Lowassa’s burial.
Yesterday the Member of Parliament for Monduli, Fred Lowassa who is also Lowassa’s son, on behalf of the family thanked the President of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for joining the family while nursing Lowassa while saying that if it wasn’t for President Samia, their father would not have arrived that day on February 10, 2024.
